. Indonesia has a long coastline with long sandy beaches and stretches 81,000 km along the coastal areas that have the potential that can be harnessed for sustainable development. Therefore, the presence of several potential contained in the coastal areas, many coastal areas currently utilized as the primary activity of the community. Similarly, occurring in coastal areas and Pekalongan regency, which had some coastal tourism potential that can be developed. But in its development, a wide range of issues arise relating to the coastal region. These problems, if not acted upon and will affect the sustainability of coastal tourism destinations. Based on this, the study aims to provide guidance on the development of coastal tourism in the District and the City of Pekalongan in realizing sustainability of coastal areas such as concept development, policy and management and finance areas. The research approach used in this study is a quantitative and qualitative approach. Qualitative approach in this study were done in mapping the potential and problems as well as in determining the region eksiting kondsi arahahan pegembangan coastal tourism in the District and the City of Pekalongan through descriptive analysis method. While the quantitative approach taken is to determine the location of which will be developed as a priority coastal tourism in Pekalongan to see sustainability through scoring and weighting methods.
